Is it legal to buy company data in the EU?

Yes, when the data concerns legal entities and comes from public sources and official registers. LeadsBase processes company data only, on a legitimate-interest basis (art. 6.1.f GDPR), publishes its art. 14 GDPR notice and keeps a working opt-out. What is the difference between register data and contact data?

Register data is what the commercial or statistical register publishes: legal name, tax ID, legal form, activity and address. Contact data means the corporate phone and email, which do not come from the register and do not exist in every country. That is why packs such as the United States (15,430,280 companies), the Netherlands, Austria, Latvia, Estonia and Luxembourg are sold as a register census with no contacts, and each country page states its phone and email coverage before you pay. How many records include an email or a phone number?

It depends on the country and is shown on its page before purchase, because each market is measured against a different source. Measured example: Spain has 4,387,152 companies, of which 1,929,268 carry a phone number and 1,701,728 an email. No global contact percentage is published, because it would be a misleading average. Can the purchased data be resold?

No. The licence is internal-use, non-exclusive and non-transferable: it covers prospecting, analysis and enrichment of the buyer’s own CRM. Reselling, assigning, sublicensing, publishing or redistributing the pack or substantial parts of it is prohibited, with or without transformation. Can this data be used to train an AI model?

What format is the file and how is it delivered?

A standard UTF-8 CSV that opens in Excel, Google Sheets and any CRM. It is emailed to the address given at checkout, usually within minutes of payment confirmation, with a header declaring the source, the source licence and the compilation date of the pack. Is there a subscription, or is it a one-time payment?

Do you charge Spanish VAT to companies outside Spain?

All prices are published excluding VAT. The applicable tax is calculated at checkout based on the buyer’s location and tax status, following the rules in force for intra-EU and non-EU transactions. Where does the data come from?

From the official commercial and statistical registers of each country — Receita Federal (Brazil, 26,100,000 companies), INSEE SIRENE (France), Companies House (United Kingdom), BORME/AEAT (Spain), Bolagsverket, ONRC, CRO, DENUE/INEGI and others — plus the Overture Maps layer used for map exploration. Can I buy company data for Germany, the United States or Russia?

Germany, no: there are 5,305,727 records in the database, but there is no official bulk release and the distribution licence is still under negotiation, so its page has no buy button. Kazakhstan is also unavailable while the provenance of the source is verified, and Russia is excluded under EU/OFAC sanctions. Can a company ask to be removed from the database?

Yes, at any time and without giving a reason. Removal is requested at leadsbase.es/baja-datos or by writing to dpo@leadsbase.es naming the company concerned, and is processed under the GDPR within 30 days at most. Data removal →
